Getting to Ljubljana

How to reach City Hotel, centre of the town

By air

Regular busses link Ljubljana Jože Pučnik airport (Brnik, LJU) with the central bus/railway station in Ljubljana. On weekdays buses leave every hour from 5.00-20.00. On weekends buses leave at 7.00, then every two hours from 10.00-20.00. The journey takes 45 minutes. Tickets: 4 EUR

By train

Go to the main exit, cross the street at the southern side of the station and walk south on Miklosiceva st. until Dalmatinova st. Turn left and the hotel will be on your left after some 50m.

By car

From NW (Villach - Jesenice - Kranj): Exit motorway when it ends with a traffic light, take left turn. Continue through numerous lights on Celovska rd. for approx. 5km. After driving below a railroad overpass continue straight through the traffic lights. The street becomes Gosposvetska rd. (a tall building on the left hand side is Hotel Lev). Continue straight for approx. 300m and through the traffic lights again. The street becomes Dalmatinova st. Continue straight for another 300m (pass another traffic lights) and the City Hotel is along the left side of the street, just before the T-crossing.

From SW (Trst(Trieste) - Postojna - Vrhnika): After the toll continue until the motorway knot, follow direction Zagreb (right). Exit motorway at the next exit (Ljubljana-zahod). Turn right at the traffic lights onto Trzaska rd. Continue for approx. 3km through numerous lights until the street splits and driving straight would end in a park. Take left turn onto Tivolska rd. Drive through the traffic lights. At the second traffic lights turn right into Gosposvetska rd. (a tall building on the left hand side is Hotel Lev). Drive straight for approx. 300m and through the traffic lights again. The street becomes Dalmatinova st. Continue straight for another 300m (through another traffic lights) and the City Hotel is along the left side of the street, just before the T-crossing.

From SE (Zagreb - Novo Mesto - Grosuplje): Follow direction Postojna, Trst(Trieste) (attention, the motorway splits immediately after a tunnel). Exit motorway at the next exit (Ljubljana-zahod). Turn right at the traffic lights onto Trzaska rd. Continue for approx. 3km through numerous lights until the street splits and driving straight would end in a park. Take left turn onto Tivolska rd. Drive through the traffic lights. At the second traffic lights turn right into Gosposvetska rd. (a tall building on the left hand side is Hotel Lev). Drive straight for approx. 300m and through the traffic lights again. The street becomes Dalmatinova st. Continue straight for another 300m (through another traffic lights) and the City Hotel is along the left side of the street, just before the T-crossing.

From NE (Gradec(Graz) - Maribor - Celje): Follow direction Kranj. Exit motorway at the exit Ljubljana-Bezigrad. At the traffic lights take a left turn. Drive straight on the Dunajska st. for approx. 3km. After driving below a railroad overpass take a left turn at the traffic lights. Put yourself in the right hand side lane and after some 100m turn right at the next traffic lights onto the Miklosiceva st. Drive straight for approx. 400m and turn left at the second traffic lights (you cannot turn left at the first ones anyway) onto the Dalmatinova st. The City Hotel will be along the left side of the street, just before the T-crossing.
